NOVEMBER 15TH NEWS UPDATE
Well it is the middle of Term 4 and we are getting so close to drawing classes to a close for this year. We have had so many changes happening at BDI, with the putting on hold of a performance crew team and the changes of timetable that have occured. All classes NOW, however, are casual classes with a new routine being taught each week. This makes it easier if you are doing casual classes to not miss any actualy choreography etc if you need to miss. Classes are for all ages, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, and absolutely EVERYBODY IS WELCOME!
We are busy little bees at Boom Dance Ink Headquarters preparing for our stall at the Bartercard Christmas Event Sunday 17th November. If you have Bartercard, you should come on down to the market event as there will be great specials for Trade Dollars!
And we are just jumping with excitement in preparation for the Norwood Parade Christmas Pagent, next Saturday 23rd November 2013. We have so many of our kids students walking, dancing, and handing out candy but also some great prizes to everyone attending, so be sure to come along. 10 am on the Parade. See you there!
SEPT 16TH END OF TERM 3 UPDATE
Unbelieveable how quickly time flies when you are having fun! Only 2 weeks to go until the end of the term. Term ends Friday 27/9/13. Term 4 will begin first week of the school term 14/10/13. Our Active After School Program for Term 3 is coming to an end this week. We are sad that we wont be working with these particular kids again, but are definitely ready for the next lot of kids workshops. Keep your eyes and ears open for the date of our end of year (casual) showcase. Collizion Crew are also very excited for their photo shoot coming up.
Writing for our very own FRINGE SHOW has started. We are so excited for this and are currently taking expressions of interest for anyone who is interested in being a part of this spectacular with us. SEPTEMBER 30TH END OF TERM
As we draw to a close of Term 3, we would love to say a huge Thank you to Collizion Crew for working so hard and taking some really amazing shots at their photo shoot. We would also like to thank Juan from Juan Photography and Renaissance Limousines for working with us.
We unfortunately say "bye for now" to one of our teachers and members of Collizion Crew - Ariele Ackland. She is embarking on her new fantastic journey in Darwin. We look forward to having you back when you visit Adelaide and you surely will be missed.
Joining our team this term is Alana Tedesco who will be teaching in the Active After Schools Program and classes around BDI. If you see her, be sure to give her a big Boom Dance Ink Welcome and say hello. We would also love to give credit to Destiny Logozzo, who is now teaching the Beginner Kids and Boys Classes. I am looking forward to seeing all the amazing work being produced.
JULY 22 Term 3 Begins
We want to give a huge Thank you to Etienne Khoo for holding such fantastic, sore-renching workshops last term. Term 3 is about to begin. Brace yourselves for the most amazing term of dance yet! We can't wait to get started again this term. 2 weeks holidays is just TOOOO long. Some changes have been made to classes and their times. Hip Hop and Jazz Classes on Friday nights will now run for an 1.5hrs each. Zumba for all will be continuing this term 6pm-7pm on Friday nights. I have to be honest... Ari teaches a kick-ass, booty shaking work-out of a class that I personally love to be a part of. Active After Schools Workshops will be starting this term also, and BDI is once again so proud to be a part of such a growing community in fighting obesity in Australia as well as increasing dance knowledge. Whispers of Errol Cenita and Melanie Louise coming to Adelaide for October holidays for a holiday intensive collab workshop are looming!!! As well as a possible Fresh FM advertisement possibly about to surface. Not to mention our amazing talent Joseph Moore who will be performing this Friday night at the Bartercard Adelaide event. SSSOOO EXCITED FOR THIS TERM AND THE POSSIBILITIES. Happy Term 3 everyone!!!
AUGUST 7 FREE NEW CLASSES
Boom Dance Ink so excited to announce its new dance studio in the Eastern Suburbs. Dance Classes will now mainly be held at the Kensington Gardens Uniting Church Hall. To celebrate, we are offering a night of free classes. MONDAY 12th August we have 6:30-7:30pm Beginner Kids Hip Hop, 7:30-8:30pm Yoga, 8:30-9:30pm Hip Hop in Heels! Bookings required. We also have classes on Wednesday nights with our Int/Adv Hip Hop + performance crew 6:30pm-8pm and Jazz/Streetjazz all levels 8-9:30pm.

BDI would like to give a special shout-out and Thank you to Ariele Ackland and Santina Rigano-Lesch for teaching in the Active After Schools program and having Norwood PS, Nazareth, Klemzig and Wandana participating. We are also very excited to have Tiffany join our team teaching "HOT YOGA" and Destiny as a student teacher. If you see them around the place, be sure to say Hi and make them feel welcome. A huge congratulations to Jemma for stepping up and becoming Collizion Crew's Team Leader. Great work so far.
​JUNE 28 Jazz & Hip Hop Workshops with Etienne
BDI is proud to announce that Etienne Khoo will be coming from Melbourne on July 6th to teach Beginner Hip Hop, Jazz Progressions and Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop Workshops at BDI Studios (Ausdance SA). We are so excited to have the opportunity to bring Etienne to the dancers of Adelaide to be able to increase their knowledge of the industry and art. Term ends Saturday 6th July. Classes on 5th July are cancelled, however Ballet Foundations and Beginner Kids Hip Hop will still be held on 6th July.
